House Painting Perth

Interior and Exterior Painters Across Perth's Western Suburbs

Pro Painting Works is a Dulux Accredited house painting business run out of Stirling, working across Karrinyup, Innaloo, Gwelup, Doubleview, Balcatta, Wembley, Floreat and the suburbs around them.

Full interior repaints, complete exteriors, or one tired room brought back to life. Same standard either way.

Having painters in the house is a disruption, and we’d rather it be a short and tidy one.

We turn up when we say we will, protect everything before we start, and tidy the site at the end of every day rather than the end of the job.

Why Perth Homeowners Call Us

There’s no shortage of painters in Perth, and most of them can put paint on a wall.

The difference shows up two or three summers later, and it almost always traces back to what happened before the first coat.

We’ve painted several hundred homes across Perth’s western and northern coastal suburbs, from character homes in Floreat and Wembley through to modern builds in Karrinyup and Gwelup.

Working the same patch year after year means we know how these houses are built, how the salt air treats a west-facing wall in Doubleview, and which products actually hold up out here.

We’re Dulux Accredited, which is not something handed out on request.

It takes demonstrated workmanship, ongoing training, and a track record the paint company is prepared to put its name against.

Registration PC 102205 and PP 101238, fully insured.

Interior House Painting

Interiors are where the details get noticed, because you’re looking at them every day.

Cut lines, ceiling edges, the finish on a door frame.

Our interior work runs from a single bedroom through to a whole house, and we work room by room where we can so you keep most of your home usable.

Walls, ceilings, doors, skirtings and architraves, plus wet-area work in kitchens and bathrooms using coatings built for steam and daily cleaning.

Furniture gets moved or covered, floors get protected, and hardware comes off rather than getting masked badly.

Exterior House Painting

Perth weather is hard on paintwork, and this close to the coast it’s harder again.

Sun, salt and the sea breeze will chalk a cheap exterior coating off a west-facing wall faster than most people expect.

A good exterior job protects the building, it doesn’t just tidy it up.

Render, brick, weatherboard and fibre cement, plus eaves, fascias, gutters, window frames and exterior metalwork.

Every job starts with a pressure wash, scraping back anything loose, mould treatment and the correct primer for the surface, because a topcoat over poor preparation is money you’ll spend twice.

What Local Homeowners Say

“Michael provided exceptional service for re-paint of our fireplace mantle wall. He was prompt, professional and very courteous. His workmanship is fantastic! I will definitely use him again for any painting I need done.”

Rahul Lunchman

“We needed some interior doors and a front wall and the front of the house painted. We rang Michael on a Sunday and he came within the hour to quote. His quote was reasonable and he was able to start the job within a day. He was very quick, professional and had the job was finished within 2 days. He knows which paint to use and we had no paint smell in the house at all. We would definitely use Michael again if we needed any more painting done and would recommend him for a professional, reasonable and excellent job and he also has a great sense of humour!!”

How a Job Runs

  1. Free On-Site Look

We come out, walk the property with you, check the surfaces and talk through what you’re after. This is also where we spot anything that needs sorting first, like a damp patch or a section of render that’s blown. No cost and no pressure.

  1. Written Quote

You get an itemised quote covering preparation, materials, labour and timeframe. If something is likely to add cost once we open up a surface, we say so up front rather than surprising you halfway through.

  1. Preparation

Washing, scraping, sanding, filling, caulking and priming. This is the part that takes the longest and the part that determines whether the job still looks good in five years. Landscaping, floors and furniture all get protected before anything starts.

  1. Painting

Correct tool for each surface, consistent coverage, clean cut lines. Exterior work only goes on when conditions suit, because paint applied in the wrong heat or humidity will not cure properly no matter how good the product is.

  1. Walk-Through and Clean-Up

We walk the job with you before calling it finished, and anything you’re not happy with gets sorted then. Equipment and materials go, splashes come off, and the place is left clean.

Our House Painting Process

Colour Advice

Choosing colours from a swatch the size of a stamp is genuinely difficult.

We’ll bring samples out, brush up test patches on your actual walls, and let you look at them in morning light and afternoon light before you decide.

Most people change their mind at least once at this stage, which is exactly what the test patches are for.

Dulux Products

Our accreditation means Dulux and Dulux Acratex are the default, chosen per surface rather than one product across the whole job.

Washable finishes in hallways and kids’ rooms, mould-resistant in wet areas, and Acratex systems where an exterior needs serious protection.

If you’ve got a preference or a strata requirement for something else, that’s fine, just tell us at quote stage.

Working Around You

Every household runs differently, so the schedule bends to suit.

Staged work: larger jobs done room by room or section by section, so you keep using most of the house.

Outside normal hours: we can start early or work Saturdays where the job allows it.

School holidays: a popular window for interior work, and one that books out early, so give us plenty of notice.

Areas We Serve

We’re based on Jardine Street in Stirling and we deliberately keep our work close to home.

That means we’re rarely more than fifteen minutes from a job, we can get back quickly if something needs looking at, and you’re not paying for travel time.

Stirling and surrounds: Stirling, Balcatta, Osborne Park, Gwelup, Innaloo, Herdsman, Glendalough, Yokine

Coastal and western: Karrinyup, Doubleview, Woodlands, Scarborough, Trigg, North Beach, Wembley Downs, Churchlands, City Beach

Inland west: Wembley, Floreat, Jolimont, Menora, Mount Hawthorn, Joondanna

If your suburb isn’t on the list but you’re nearby, call and ask. We’d rather tell you honestly whether we can get to you than take a job we can’t service properly.

House Painting Questions

How much does it cost to paint a house in Perth?

Too many variables for a number on a webpage, and anyone quoting you one without seeing the property is guessing.

The main drivers are the size, the condition of the existing surfaces, and how much preparation is needed.

A repaint over sound paintwork is a very different job to one where render has blown or timber has rotted. We quote free and in writing so you know before you commit.

How long does a house repaint take?

A standard interior repaint on a three or four bedroom home is usually three to five days. A full exterior depends on size, substrate and weather, but most sit between one and two weeks.

Do I need to move out?

Almost never. We work room by room on interiors so you keep the rest of the house, and modern low-odour paints have made the smell issue much smaller than it used to be.

How often should a Perth house be repainted?

Interiors typically go seven to ten years. Exteriors are shorter out here, usually five to eight years depending on how exposed the property is. West-facing walls near the coast will always go first.

Do you supply the paint?

Yes, and it’s included in the quote. Colour choice is entirely yours.

Are you insured?

Yes. Full public liability insurance, and painting registrations PC 102205 and PP 101238.
